Our quest to find the best mangoes took us to the Magdalena Valley of Colombia. As we crossed the river, Captain Álvaro shared how 400 years ago Spanish traders brought mango seeds from India to Colombia, where nutrient-rich soil gave the mangoes a distinct, juicy and honey-sweet flavor.
